Vox Telecom Receives Signals from South Africa's first Ka-band Satellite

   June 14, Vox Telecom declared that they recieved South Africa's first   Ka-band satellite ,the first transmission of Y1-B.
   Vox Telecom intends to utilize the satellite to bring the economic  and high-speed extended band service in rural and urban areas till  Aug.1. In May, cooperated with the partner Yahsat, Vox Telecom begins  the service with the brand name YahClick.
   YahClick Project Manager Jacques Visser of Vox Telecom stated they  opened the Gauteng spot beam testing on Monday and received a very  strong signal, as well as the remaining spot beams near South Africa.  At the same time, he said the main task at present focused on the  testing the platform in the field and to make sure their technical  staff and resellers were completley trained and began to install the  products in order to transmit the product on Aug.1 formally.
