On Sep. 6, Gilat Satellite Networks announced that they got an order for supporting SES Broadband Services' (SBBS) Ka-band customer service rollout from European satellite broadband providers.

Gilat's SkyEdge 2-c Aries VSAT and the delivery of several thousand self-install customer premise equipment (CPE) Kits are included in this order. Erez Antebi, CEO of Gilat said that the Aries solution would make European households benefit from high-speed for satellite consumer services, enabling Internet, Video and voice-over-IP services.

Antebi stated that the design of Aries was from the bottom to up for the consumer market and with the features of quick and intuitive self-installation and automatic service

activation. And he also said that they were so excited to receive this order of Ka-band terminals for supporting SBBS and expect a successful rollout. They believe that Ka-band

will bring an unprecedented achievement in the satellite industry with higher price.
