U.S. Army Placed a delivery order for TeleCommunications Systems

On Dec. 14, TCS (TeleCommunication Systems) announced that they received a delivery order from the U.S. Army about Secret Internet Protocol Router and Non-secure Internet Protocol Router Access Point or SNAP 1.2M Lite Very Small Aperture Terminal or Vsat satellite systems and Impact Tactical baseband equipment.


The total order value is about $25 million if including all the options. The majority of the order award equipment will be delivered at the end of March, 2013. As a part of the Small Form Factor or SFF Company Command Post or CoCP Terminals, these SNAP Vsat and Impact Tactical systems will be put into use.


The U.S. Army Project Manager supply funds with these procurements for the Warfighter Information Network-Tactical(PM WIN-T) Commercial Satellite Terminal Program through the Army's $5 billion World-Wide Satellite Systems (WWSS) contract vehicle.
