On Jan. 11 in 2013, TeleCommunication Systems(TCS) announced that they got another VSAT order from the United States Army with $3.4 million as incremental funding for equipment, field services support and maintenance of Secure Internet Protocol Router and Non-Secure Internet Protocol Router Access Point(SNAP).

The U.S. Army Project Manager for the Warfighter Information Network is investing TCM’s purchasing through the Army’s $5 billion World—Wide Satellite Systems(WWSS) contract vehicle in Tactical (PM-WIN-T) Commercial Satellite Terminal Program.

The purpose of TCS SANP VSAT is to provide multimedia communications abilities transmitting encrypted voice, video and data.
