| Sat-Comm awarded a contract to Rohde & Schwarz to provide spectrum analyzers for use in satellite newsgathering vehicles, Rohde & Schwarz announced April 14. Under the contract, Rohde & Schwarz will provide a range of test and measurement equipment for Sat-Comm's offerings, which include company flyaway systems, broadcast vehicles as well as terrestrial microwave vehicles and mobile GSM base stations. "We deliver [satellite newsgathering] vehicles to over 50 countries in five continents, and when these systems are deployed in the field to distribute content, reliability is absolutely key," Tim Williams, managing director of Sat-Comm, said in a statement. "Rohde & Schwarz FSC Spectrum Analysers are installed in our mid- and high-end vehicles in order to monitor the transmissions. These instruments offer us the performance and the reliability we look for to further endorse the Sat-Comm brand." |
