Hermes Datacommunications have reached an agreement with MEASAT Satellite that provide VSAT satellite communication services by the MEASAT-3 satellite in Malaysia’s offshore oilfields.

 

According to the agreement, Hermes will be based on their new communications hub at the MEASAT Teleport and Broadcast Center. By VSAT connectivity, the Hermes Datacomms hub will afford Malaysia’s growing oil and gas industry telecommunications. The hub is invested heavily by Hermes which used to support the drilling campaign being held in Malaysian waters.

 

Mohd Faizal Zainal Amri, general manager of Hermes Malaysia said in a statement like this, “Our new hub offer efficient and reliable communications optimized bandwidth utilization with high link quality, thus the services of voice calls, video and real-time data are available for Malaysian oilfields.”
