On Aug. 9, the FSS operator announced that Intelsat and the Global VSAT forum (GVF) were setting up a communications training session in Singapore, which was operated by Pacific Endeavor convention with government and on-governmental organizations running in the Asia-Pacific region.

GVF will operate a two-day, hands-on training workshops to assure students how to install and maintain the VSATs. After the students receive certifications, they will be chosen in the public GVF Installers Database.

Intelsat and GVF afforded the costs of training coursed commonly for 21 to 25 students from the Asia-Pacific area. Intelsat provided bandwidth on 22 satellite of Intelsat to let the students to show their ability correctly to install the antenna without any creating interference.

Terry Bleakley, the Intelsat Regional Vice President of Asia-Pacific Sales stated that compared with before, now there were more satellites in orbit and more ground terminals in use, which made a challenged radio frequency environment. Only if with the helping of industrial partnerships and workshops like Pacific Endeavor, can we keep the stable communications services for the users all around the world continuously.
