On Nov. 2012, Com Dev International announced that they signed a contract to start with a project to deliver Ku-band and Ka-band multiplexer, switches and microwave components.

The expected total value of this contract will exceed US$15 million, US$7 million of which will be used to start the engineering and purchasing. And the components will be used in a communication satellite to offer additional and incremental capacity for Direct-to-Home (DTH) programming. The whole project will be expected to complete till March 2014 in Cambridge, Ontario at Company's facility.

Pley, CEO of Com Dev said that they were very happy to win this contract, which shows the growth of the company in seeking in the market from increasing needs for broadcast capacity and the replacing of changing existing satellite.

Mike Williams, President of Com DEV International Products added that this action created their expertise in Ku-band and Ka-band skills and strengthen their leading role in commercial communication satellite industry.
