On Oct. 12, OJSC Azercosmos announced that Azerbaijan's first national satellite, Azerpace-1, was fully produced by Orbital Sciences, which is intended to send on February 2013 from Arianespace's launch facility in Kourou, French Guiana.

At present, Azerpace-1 is in the stage of factory testing and is ready to delivered to the Kourou spaceport in November. An officer of Azercomos and employees of operator Telesat will be doing the detailed examination at the Orbital Sciences' plant.

The estimated time of Azerpace-1's launching is during the period of Jan. 23 and Feb. 23.
