Ateme signed a contract for upgrading SNG Trucks with the help of 2 SAT

On Aug.24, Ateme announced that they were chosen to upgrade the digital satellite newsgathering (SNG) fleet by the satellite connectivity provider 2 SAT Europe.

Kyrion condecs will be installed in 2 trucks by Ateme to enable them to meet the requirements of all satellite transmission from MPEG-2 SD to MPEG-4 HD and any bitrate.

Bas Giskes, CEO of 2 SAT stated that their trucks were traveling in all European countries in various sports and live events and for that they must choose the broad acceptable technology. And they also said they decided to moderize their equipment under the contract award for the Moto GP coverage. At the same time, they were looking for a way to provide adaptability as per codecs, and the compatibility with the receivers for customer usage and for operators using easily. Finally, they said they had positive experience from Ateme in their early trials to the Kyrion contribution.
