| Eutelsat has a contract between Algerian VSAT operator Divona and their company for a 72 MHz transponder on Eutelsat 21B. With this multiyear contract, Divona can provide Algerian and Southern European mobile telecom operators and firms increased satellite connectivity. As deploying digital infrastructure, Eutelsat has been energetically busy with pursuing and building partnerships with telcos and broadcasters in the Middle East. After signing this contract, the number of transponders Eutelsat has rented to Algerians has increased to nine. Michel Azibert is the deputy CEO and chief commercial and development officer of Eutelsat. Once he says, “The steady expansion of our activities in Algeria reflects our ambition to support the business of telecom operators who are at the forefront of the transition to digital across the entire country.” |
